Objectives: Sarcopenia is a major component of the frailty syndrome and is also a strong predictor of disability, morbidity, and mortality in older persons. Also, the prevalence of vertigo and dizziness in people aged more than 60 years reaches 30%, and due to aging of world population, the number of patients is rapidly increasing. The presence of dizziness in the elderly is a strong predictor of falls, which is the leading cause of accidental death in people older than 65 years. In this study, we are going to find wheather muscle mass affect balance disorder or not. Methods:We used Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data which was gathered in Korean population in 2008~2011. In this study, sarcopenia was classified as class I and class II which was divided by appendicular skeletal muscle mass(ASM). It is subtraction of total bone mineral mass from fat free mass of both arm and legs. Another factor, dizziness was measured by foam test result. Using Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data, we try to find relatioship between aging related sarcopenia and balance disorder Result:In some data, there is relationship between sarcopenia and dizziness but further study shoudl be proceeded. Conclusion:Aging makes muscle mass degeneration, which improves balance disorders
