목적: Tracheobronchial foreign body aspiration is a life-threatening emergency for children. However, in very young child, bronchoscope with optical forceps may be too big to fit into the small sized airway. Here we present foreign body removal method of apnea technique in very young child. 방법:Foreign body removed under general anesthesia using only an optical forceps for very young child (<3 years of age). The suspension laryngoscope was set just above of vocal cord and ventilation tube was passed through the suspension laryngoscope. The oxygen saturation was up to 100%, we pulled out the ventilation tube and inserted optical forceps with endoscope. The foreign body removal was performed carefully. 결과:Foreign body removal method of apnea technique only an optical forceps with endoscope method was technically feasible and safe for very young child. The mean operation time was 37.13±15.37min, and the hospital stay was 2.5±0.65 days. When we pulled out the ventilation tube, The O2 saturation was sustained mean 108 ± 20 sec (mean 3 times repeated). In all cases (21 patients), the foreign body removed completely without a second procedure. 결론:Apnea technique only an optical forceps with endoscope removal of airway foreign body was useful in very young age child.
