¸ñÀû: This study aimed to compare functional hearing with the use of PSAP(Personal Sound Amplification Product) or HA(Hearing Aid) in patients with asymmetric hearing loss. ¹æ¹ý:Fifteen participants with asymmetric hearing loss (normal side : PTA ¡Â 25dB HL / hearing loss side : PTA 40~70dB HL) were prospectively included. No participants had prior experience with any hearing devices, such as HAs or PSAPs. Objective efficacy analysis such as Pure tone audiometry and Sound field and subjective efficacy analysis such as satisfaction survey were conducted under different listening conditions : unaided, with entry-level HA, advanced-level HA, entry-level PSAP, advanced- level PSAP. °á°ú:When HA and PSAP were used, there was a hearing improvement of 17dB or more at low frequencies (250, 500, 1000Hz) than unaided. Regardless of the type (entry, advanced) of PSAP, hearing improvement at high frequency was inferior to that of HA. WRS (%) showed significant improvement in hearing by more than 30% for both HA and PSAP compared to unaided. In HINT-Q, there was an improvement of RTS (dB) of 21dB or more regardless of device type. In addition, the signal-to-noise ratio (dB SNR) improved by more than 13dB SNR. In REM (real ear measurement), the insertion gain at all input levels was better HA than PSAP, and at frequencies above 2000Hz, the insertion gain difference was more than 10. Subjective evaluation of the hearing device was conducted using the APHAB, and it was found that communication in daily life was improved after wearing it compared to before wearing it. There was no significant difference in the evaluation of tinnitus using THI and VAS before and after wearing the device. °á·Ð:The current results show that HA shows better performance than PSAP in both objective and subjective evaluations in patients with asymmetric hearing loss, but in the audiogram in the low frequency (250, 500, 1000 Hz) and WRS (%), hearing improvement is similar to that of HA.
