Bio-Inspired Technology was introduced and reviewed the state of the eminent research center of BIT. Artificial basilar membrane (ABM) mimicking the function of basilar membrane and hair cells was developed using the piezoelectric thin film. This ABM can be one of the core components of totally implantable cochlear system. It was focused on 3D bioprinting in the bio-medical field and discussed the current state of technology, disruptive changes and societal impacts. 3D bioprinting is going to have a huge impact on society and will offer unprecedented business opportunities.
